down draft tube??

ok so my ccv filter kept getting cloge and the intake was sucking up too much oil and i was having blue smoke coming outta the tail pipe. soo i just pluged up the holein the intake and took the ccv filter outta the equation and added a down draft tube. anyone see a problem with this??

We like to call it the CCV mod, the only issue you might have it where your down tube ends. If you have it end of the tubing by the driver side engine compartment are, you will get a oil smell. Some guys make the tubing long enough the get behind the cab so they don't get the oil smell. Some guys buy a filter canister for it.
