Restore coolant cleaner

Does anyone know how much restore to use when doing a coolant flush? And does it matter if you use it before or after VC9?

The label says 1 gallon of restore will work with up to 10 gallons of water. So I am gonna dump the whole gallon in. I read on here to use the VC-9 first, drain, then do the restore.

Yes and you want to add the restore to water and flush not antifreeze, so flush the coolant out before throwing the Restore in.

I'm having my diesel mechanic flush and clean the cooling system in my 2006 6.0 with Restore next Wednesday (made the appt today) and he will be refilling with an ELC. I just flushed and refilled the cooling system earlier this summer with the Ford Gold crap........you live and learn.

How long do you run the RESTORE in engine? Is it similar to the VC-9 as far as fill it, run it till hot and then flush it, repeat untill clean?

I also read about and heard of the "VC-9 +" is this stuff an all in one instead of restore and VC-9. Or is doing both treatments seperate better??

Looking forward to getting all the junk out of the engine and cooling system!!

I have heard to use both. If i am correct VC9 first (Iron system cleaner) then Restore (removes silicate gel and oil and grease super cleaner) then distilled water until clear.

After the restore and the water, how many times did you flush after the restore?
