Best Tuner for the 6.0l

i know this question will bring in many different opions, but here it is, i have a 04 f350 6.0l ( mods below) and was looking at tuners, someone mentioned i should get the Livewire, but i want another opion, i want to have the ablility to change the tune on the fly, any suggestions?

Get an SCT with custom tunes. Changing tunes on the fly is hard on the transmission.

you wont find anything that is good for you truck that will shift on the fly... i also dont like the livewire but thats just personal preference... im not a big fan of all in 1 units...

my suggestion is a SCT x3 with innovative tunes like this: SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning

and then a set of regular gauges or the edge cs or cts

I'm satisfied with my SCT SF3 (which is an X3 with canned tunes, and can take up to 3 custom tunes). I just recently got it, so I'm still on a high. Good luck!

well i was wonderign if thye do have on the fly tuners that dont harm anything. and yeah i plan on getting innovative tunes im just wondering whats the best sct tuner thats a reasonable price

the only thing that is shift on the fly is something like the edge juice.. but that has no trans tuning.. on top of that your transmission has a learning curve so everytime you would switch to a higher tune your trans would start learning that power curve and shift like crap for a few hundred miles... constantly changing it like this will hurt your transmission...

the livewire is bulky and has no pod.. it attaches via a windshield mount like a GPS unit... it can easily be stolen since it looks like a GPS unit and if it broke or got stolen you lose your gauges and your tuner in 1 shot...

my suggestion is still the X3 with custom tunes and either pillar gauges or the edge CS or CTS

You will find nothing good that changes your tune on the fly as stated. And if you want Eric's tunes you need an SCT. I also recommend the X3 and an Edge Insight cs or cts.
