Coolant temp/Oil temp.

Is it normal for the Oil temp to be about 12-15 degrees cooler than the engine coolant? At idle EC&OT are about 4 degrees apart. But I noticed that my oil temp is sometimes cooler than my coolant temp ever 15 degrees cooler.

I don't know how long this has been going on, I recently installed a bulldog outlook monitor and it seemed the temps where a bit off.

At normal operating temps your oil temp should be between 3*-7* hotter than coolant temp most of the time. If it exceeds that for a brief period it's no big deal. If consistently more than 15* warmer you need to rebuild your oil cooler. It might be lower until it gets fully up to operating temp.
