Just bought a higher mile 6.0

Hey I just purchased a 2004 6.0 lariat cc 4x4 The truck was a highway cruiser never pulled anything in it's life ( 120k miles) It was lifted as part as deal last week 6 inches and and 20inch rims and some nitto 37s. Truck is in absolute mint shape no dints, scrapes or paint swirls.

I'm quite happy with it and plan on doing and egr delete and getting a few extra gauges to monitor trans temp and boost. The truck recently had it's head gasket done and replaced with studs.

Heck, I was expecting to see some mileage. That things just broke in good. Truck looks nice man. Look into some thing like the Edge Insight to monitor what's going on. You need to watch Coolant temp and Oil temp on these to know if your oil cooler is clogging up. That causes a whole lot of down stream havoc to happen. Do some reading here. All the answers on making your new truck a reliable fun truck are here.

I was expecting some mileage too.... Mine has 175k on it so I guess it is on it's death bed...
I have 3 7.3l OBS trucks, one has almost 400k, the other two are in the 200s.

There is an answer for anything related to our trucks. Just get on here and search.. And WELCOME to the ORG!!

I bought my 04 with 140k and now I have almost 230k. Just regular maintenance and care and they will do anything you ask! I switched over from a duramax and will never go back!
