I recommend doing a search on here for motorcraft filters and why you should only use them or Racor fliters with these engines.

Speaking of routine maintenance, what kind of oil are most of you running. I talked to a guy here locally that said he was running John Deere synthetic oil in his Max, stroke, and all gas burners. I have been a royal purple fan on my gas burners to this point, but this I am considering my first PSD. Any suggestions?

do some more research then, i wouldnt trust a napa filter on my PSD any day of the week. Theyre garbage, maybe for gassers theyre okay, I used them all the time in my gas VW's but that says nothing....
