Mods/Fixes/Gains?
Hey guys-
Another Noob here. Purchased an 06 F350 auto a few months back and am loving it. Got some questions/concerns to ask about and havent learned how to nav the site yet to see if someone has already posted, (im sure there is so if so point me in the right direction )I already installed the Dieselsite coolant kit and changed out the filter after like 750 miles. No sand or muck or oil or anything so that was cool. not the case on my dads new 04. i want to start upgrading it and doing the sort of preventative maint so this is what im thinking. 1) has anyone used the MKM 6.0 solution kit? (studs, gaskets, egr delete, oil cooler) and if so, do the MKM tunes on the SCT work well? 2) i know that i need to do the STC in the HPOP and i was thinking of doing a Bulletproof bypass kit but can it be used on the stock cooler set up?? 3) i also want to do the CCV tank and have already done the zoodad. 4) 03 turbo would be nice for a bit of an upgrade but i dont know why people do it and what is needed to do the install and what gains can i expect? so what i am really asking is if i seem to have a good idea of what to do sooner than later or if im missing something? i would really like to hear some ideas from you guys, from what ive read so far you seem to have a good handle on things. also how does the auto tranny hold up under these mods and in towing conditions? i have a 6500# toyhauler with quads ![]() thanks guys! mike |

Your tranny will be fine with a 6500lb trailer and a custom tuned SCT |

that is what i was going to ask you too. what gauges are recommended? i grew up in the import world so all i know is japanese company gauges. will autometers work?
Also is the VGT turbo thats on it currently work directly with the EGR system? is the 03 turbo a non-VGT? |

Pick your poison on the brand of gauges. The Edge insight is the easiest way to go.
You need to monitor ECT, EOT, EGT and FP. |
