North Texas Truck Stop
Not sure if this is the right area but here goes (looking at buying a 6.0 so I figure this would be the best place).......
In the market for a 05-07 F250/350 CC 4x4 and North Texas Truck Stop seems like they may have some reasonable priced trucks. Has anyone on here dealt with them? I have looked on google and yahoo for reviews and they are not all that great but there are also only 2 or 3 of them. On ebay they have lots of good ratings so I don't know which one I believe. Post up and let me and everyone know if you have or know of someone who has had dealings with them. Also can anyone recommend an inspector in the Dallas area I could have go and take a look at the truck before I put any money into it? Thanks, Derek |

I bought mine form them. They picked me up from the airport, handed me the keys when I got there. Drove it around looked it over, they did not give me the usual sales guy pitch. Very easy going people, the process was rather easy I left there Within an 2 hours and most of that time was driving and looking over the truck. One thing I can tell you is they will not deal much on the price so don't plan on getting much if any money of their advertized price. As far as the trucks go its like any used car lot with used cars. Sometimes you get a good one sometime not. For the price I got my truck I don't have a single complaint.

I was going to pick up a truck from these guys over the summer, but i backed away just because it was cutting close to moving back to school, so i bought a truck locally. They were always quick to answer questions and the majority of the people buying from them seem to have good results. At this point i'd say go for it, you dont know unless you try

I test drove 2 from there and 1 of them almost didn't make it back. If you leave a deposit on a truck be sure you will buy it cause if I remember its $1000 non refundable and you have to pick it up within a week.

I did have to leave a deposit on it so they would hold it. I think it was $500, they did say its non refundable but they would transfer it to another truck if I didn't like the first one. So I wasn't worried to much since they have about 60-70 F250s on the lot at all times.

Been about a year since I was there and it was on a Saturday and I didn't have the $ on me for the deposit I'm pretty sure it was $1k back then.

Thanks for the info, sounds like the best bet is to put a deposit down on the truck I like, fly out and if I don't like it find another one there since they have so many. Talked to a guy yesterday and was informed it is $500 now to hold the truck for 7 days........
Anyone know of a good mechanic out there I could take one to and have it gone over? |

I don't ?now of a good mechanic in that area, I'm in San Antonio. Make sure you run the Oasis on the truck you are interested in before flying out

That place is literly right down the street from me. Maybe 4 miles I pass it almost every day They do have a ton of trucks in there. I have never stopped in but I had a buddy that did. He said that the dodges he looked at were rough and were priced higher than what he thought they should have been. He said they did not want to deal on price. So it is all second hand information. JJ

Oasis and Carfax will be done before the deposit is even made......
