Just wondering if you can tell me if this noise is normal for a 6.0 You seem to be extremely knowledgeable about the diesels. Sometimes when giving the truck a little gas and the having to back off the pedal quickly there is the strangest noise...I don't even know how to explain it other than to say that it almost sounds like something rattling around under the truck. It seems like it has to do with the engine and not loose parts though. Anyway, I've gone from bone stock, to AFE intake, to 4" exhaust, to the Flashpaq which I have yet to program. This noise has occurred from stock to it's current transition and won't chip it until I know the truck is operating properly.
It's an 06 with 22,000 miles on it.

Thanks for any input
Scott

it sounds like air going "bluuupbluuupbluup" a bunch of times back through the intake im guessing....or is it more of a driveline clunk??

Mark

yeah, I guess it could be an air gulping noise, definately not driveline related.
Is this normal? I'm sure it is not related to any of my mods as it has always been there. I do keep looking for it to stop with each modification but it's always the same. I've kinda been assuming that it is normal all along but it is a little annoying to hear it.

Thanks
Scott

if its the noise im thinking it is, it is normal, i can make a stock truck do it, but the ones with aftermarket air intakes do it a ton louder.........Marc
