Anyone know what these wires are for?

Just noticed these. Red, white, blue, and black wires, cut off and taped back.

Maybe an alarm that was installed at one point?

They are pass through wires. Ford decided to help us out by having those for us to add things to our trucks. You will find the other ends inside by the steering column.

Yep, if you have up fitter switches. 05 and up, or just add your own switches for those of us 04 and earlier owners.

Or up graded dash part with switches (f650 dash kit)

Those 4 wires are blank pass through wires that come through the firewall. If you look under the driver's side of the dash you will find the same wires.

Check out RiffRaff diesel, they have them. And you can order with switches included in a package.

Do you have a link? Their web site is complete garbage. Its a series of clicks and it is slow. I have checked electrial, misc, gauges, etc. and still havent found that kit.

Thx

EDIT: I finally found it after doing a google search
http://www.riffraffdiesel.com/mm5/me...e=F731-RDP-650

I was actually looking under 2004 and that is why it isnt listed. I guess if you have a 2004 with grey you better find a can of plastic auto paint......
