Leather Steering wheel

Has anyone had their leather steering wheel recovered? Does the whole wheel need to be replaced or can I take it somewhere to be recovered?

Look for someone that does custom interior work. I would like to have another layer done over my Mustang wheel to make it thicker.

I called a local shop and they said that they dont touch steering wheels and my best bet would be to get one from Ford.
