(Disclaimer: new to diesel)
If doing a EGR delete, why delete the cooler? |

An EGR delete is more like an EGR 'system' delete

Soooo...... when the mechanic said to do the EGR delete & the cooler delete, both get done at the same time & its not two separate "upgrades"?
|

Exactly. This is what you get in a run of the mill delete kit
This is a really nice looking kit! If youre EGR cooler is blown, and your truck is in the shop, MAKE SURE THEY REPLACE THE OIL COOLER TOO! Its the main cause for EGR cooler failures

What's the going rate to get the delete kit done? $1900 is what I was quoted!

Are you having issues with your cooler? |

No problems......... that I can tell, just want to make sure it stays that way

my shop in san antonio, tx quoted me $800 w/o the kit.

1900 to install a delete.
thats a tad high. Most shops here will do studs for 2200 and install the delete in that price if you provide the delete
