MBRP Exhausts
So I'm looking at the MBRP system for my dad's 03 F350 6.0L. (I'm lucky and get the dirt cheap thru work!) But he can't decide to go with the Turbo back or the Cat. Back system. He's not sure how big of a difference it will make. (that, plus he's cheap!) haha
Anyways, my question is how big is the OEM downpipe off the turbo and is the MBRP downpipe 4" or 3.5"? I do know that the bigger the downpipe off the turbo = more power, but would there be that big of a difference?? Thanks guys! MBRP Inc Performance Exhaust - NEW SITE! The MBRP downpipe is 3.5 inches, same as the outlet of the turbo, but it is mandrel bent for better flow. I would do the whole thing if your getting a great deal.

I'm with Patrick. Go turbo back!

HAHA Good to hear it! That's pretty much what I was thinking, so I just went ahead and got the Turbo back! I'm so pumped...
Thanks guys! I'll let you know how it goes install-wise, and performance-wise! |

Glad to hear! Install is a piece of cake, but its good to have an extra pair of hands when installing the new down pipe, I did it myself with a lot of cuss words thrown in, but it would have gone much easier with somebody to help out.

Thanks for the advice! Now, next question while its still in my head... Did you weld the pipe or just use the clamps supplied. I'm pretty handy with a mig and I've done a few exhausts that way, but just wondered how you did it, and what you might think.

I installed 4" MBRP Turbo back w/ cat delete last year and I used the clamps. Seems to be fine. I have checkedfor leaks a few time and not a problem.
Did you get the cat delete also? |

I'm keeping the cat for now. I wanted to see how it ran with it first off. And second, I've been seeing lots of police check stops lately! And every one has a big truck pulled over so I think I might just play it safe for now...even tho I think I can run without my cat here and be fine.
