turbo problem

Ok so i have a problem with my stock turbo. When i get on the highway after like third when it s in fourth or higher it shifts and the turbo dies. Boost goes to zero and drown the highway with smoke. Push the skinny pedal and more smoke. The turbo doesn't build.boost. i have to let off the pedal let speed drop and then it will shift and then boost will build. Or if i put it on cruise control it will be at zero boost then after a bit if will build boost. I was wondering if it was the vgt solenoid or crap in the turbo or something wrong getting a signal from the trans? Someone help.

No engine codes. Ya seems fine before and after. I will try and track when it happens but pretty sure it is based off a tranny signal. Because outside of 50-65 mph after it shifts its fine

My 05 is kind of doing the same thing but the boost would get stuck at about 9lbs and my egts go through the roof. The only way to get the boost to change was to let off the throtle and then jam it to make the truck shift down.
