What to look for

I tried searching and came up with everything so... I am looking for a 2005-07 Harley Super Duty. What are some things I should ask look for when checking them out? I read about the oasis report and obviously the carfax. I am new to diesel world so I know nothing about them (like what color smoke to look for I guess), how to check the head gaskets, etc. Thanks in advance for all the help.

The carfax will help but the Oasis will tell you what a Ford stealer has repaired. History of EGR coolers, oil cooler, HG, injectors run don't walk. you may see a turbo cleaning EGR valve clean or replaced oil changes every 5k and fuel filters 15k all serviced at a Ford dealer would be good. Something with 15-25k on it would also be good then the first thing add a coolent filter, gauges i like the Edge Insight, and a fuel pressure gauge then you should be good to go. If you chip or tune get ready for some ARP studs and new HG. I will keep mine stock
