New to the world of Powerstroke

Just purchased my dream truck, 2006 F250 FX4 6.0L.....
Want to start upgrades, but dont know what the best first upgrade would be. I tow a 20ft bass boat every weekend and on 6 to 7 600 mile trips a year. I had a f150 and this past weekend I made a trip with the new truck.. AWSOME... Any point in the right direction to start would be welcomed.

Those are 2 great upgrades. I would heavily recommend gauges!!!!! Especially if your towing and taking long trips. I would recommend this kit SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning/ Gauge Combo Kit . Gotta keep an eye on them EGT's and also with a custom tow tune, it can help lower the cylinder pressure, thus preventing the possibility of popping a head gasket! Any questions just send me a PM.

I just got the Insight CS about 3 weeks ago and love it. It monitors everything I want to watch and then some.

Plus, my truck is a XL, so I'm not use to too many gadgets anyways... didn't figure I needed the nice, fancy, touch screen one... just the basic model, like my truck.

If I had to do it again mine would be 1. egr delete or bulltproof diesel cooler + oil cooler 2. guages 3. exhaust

I put off the egr cooler until 2 weeks ago it was too late and it puked oil out of the degas bottle and now went through alot more work then if I just dealt with it before hand.

2005 F-350, 4" mbrp turbo back stainless exhaust, Bilstien shocks, bulletproof diesel egr and oil cooler, dump body
