Oil Analysis

Dang! I had no idea it was that expensive. It is $22 plus $10 if I want to get TBN... what is TBN?

I am putting my oil in the mail tomorrow. It is ford 15W40 with 5k. I had arp studs put in, new egr and oil cooler and new turbo 5k ago by the dealer under warranty and this is the first change since then.
I will be using this analysis as a base line since it is ford oil with only 5k on it.

TBN is the life of the oil. If the number is low then there is no more life. The higher the more life the oil has.

Check the link in my sig. I got the same thing done with TBN and I'm going to do it again here in a few days.

TBN stands for Total Base Number and is a function of the additive package. With fresh it will typically be between 10.x and 12.x, higher is better.
