ficm repair or new?

i was just woundering if any body had ome insight on weather i should get my ficm repaired or if i would be better off buying a new one? and suggestions will help.

I have not repaired nor mod'd mine. But I would say if you want to repair I honestly believe that will depend on how technically inclined you are. If proficient with a soldering iron and circuit card repair along with conformal coating removal, go for it. If you seem to have that voice in the back of your brain housing, I would not. Regardless there is tons of info on this site as well as the internet on what to do and how to to do it. Check out this lick Swamp's Diesel Performance, just had afriend send one to them for repair and mod upgrade to 58 VDC. Best of luck, let us know how it turns out.....

yeah i have no soldering skills i will deffenetly send it off and have it done. and i do think i am going to try and get it 58v and modded i just don't know what they can mod or what the mod will really do for me. thank you for the input and i will let you know.
