Off road tires

I have a 2005 Ford Diesel 250, right now it has some street
tires on it. I live in Alaska and plan to drive it down to
baja, so I need some tires for that drive as well as for
some off road more rugged terrain. Any suggestions, really
don't have tons of cash to spend. Syntek:

We run the BFG KOs on ours, which seem to be a good compromise between on and off road performance. They're also nice because you can get them most anywhere if you trash one off-roading. We pay the little bit extra and get the 10 ply ones - they seem to hold up better than the lighter ones.
