That is probably the pre-diluted version. The full concentrate is around $30!

using 50/50 is impossible to end up with 50% since theres a gallon or two of old coolant that cant be gotten out...get the concentrate, it works out to the same price

I used the 50/50 mix and after several cooling system tests and coolant test strips, my coolant is PERFECT and is actually a hair stronger than what it should be.

You'll be fine.

i would then venture to guess you were over 50/50 prior...that theory only verified by you being stronger than, even after adding a 50% water mix

now then, if you were at an HONEST 50/50 prior, the laws of physics will not allow you to hit the right mix...unles you have the capability to turn your truck upside down when flushing

but if the prior 50/50 mix was done correctly, wouldent the coolant left in the block allready be at 50/50 mix ?

ahhh...i see your point, BUT if youre flushing old coolant it more than likely does not have the correct protection

another take on this...we are not taking a price difference here (the 50/50 is about 1/2 the price of the concentrate) and buying the concentrate guarantees the 50/50

my coolant was flushed around 128k, then I installed my egr delete kit at 141k and I had to drain the coolant to performe this task, and filled back up with the gold coolant also flushed with the gold at the 128k as well, So my coolant is fresh, So what your telling me is that its probley better to be at a 60/40 mix with more coolant strenth then to be at 60/40 with a more water strenth
