WHat are the 4 unconnected wires on drivers side tied up at the hood support?

What are they for? Im looking for a switchable 12V source would one of these wires work?

I've read that they are fed thru wires for the upfitter switches, there will be some under the dash on the drivers side that need to be connected as well.
Not 100% on this maybe someone can chim in to confirm.
If it is, well Ford did good!

Mine are for the upfitter switches but the switches came out in 05 but here it is.

whats a upfitter switch? So as they are there is no power in them unless I hook something up under the dash?

Those are customer access wires. Their should be the same color wire capped under the dash somewhere.

They work great with upfitters if you have an 05 up

Since you have an 04, they are pass through wires. Ford thought it would be a good idea to have those already in place so we can add what ever we want to hook up. Look by your steering column, you should find the same wires near there. Add what you want!
