Whine When Cold

Okay, in 1-2 gear, my truck will make this weird whining noise, and I can't figure out what it is. I thought it was the transmission, but I just got it flushed, and no change. Motor was just torn down a bit to replace a leaking pipe off the turbo, still no change.

This is the only two things I can think of.

-I don't have the updated degas cap

-And I didn't put an O-Ring/Gasket on my EGR Valve Blocker Plate. I have the RCD EGR Delete, does anyone still have the instructions, and whether or not it requires an O-Ring? It had a ring inside it, so I guess it may have fooled me.

Also, I can hear it as well when it's warm, but not as noticeable.

How do I check the power steering fluid? And would that make a noise without turning the wheels?

Can anyone else shed some light? I really don't want to take this to the dealer for this...

Mine makes a goofy turbo low pitched howl sometimes when cold and warm, my buddies 05 does it to, its fine mine has done it for a long time as well as his I have no problems with my truck or his. Probably not what you wanted to hear but its all I can come up with lol sorry man

Eta- you need that o ring on the egr valve blocker plate otherwise you have no positive seal. Pull it off and install that o ring its there for a reason. Otherwise you have a boost leak

Really? I assumed since it had a ring underneath it that it would be aight. But I think that may be my problem. The only problem is, when installing the blocker plate I stripped out the threads in on one side. So I swapped it with a bolt from the intake elbow (which is a little longer) and put some Loc-Tite on it, hoping it wold stay, and it sealed pretty good. But I guess I'll have to take it off again, and this time I'll just clean my EGR valve and stick it back in.

Update, put the EGR valve back in with new gaskets and O-rings, and also got the new updated degas bottle. Still whines.
