Is it normal to see coolant around the over flow tube coming out of the degas bottle? There is some dried up coolant right around there on my truck but none around the actual cap. thanks guys.

Coolant puking is coolant puking, How much and how often is the ???
Make sure you do not have a overfill resivoir with inaccurate LOW AND MAX lines. For some model years there is a recall or TSB that states that the line level indicators are out of place,. This also depends on operating temps and outside air temp. I am going to install a "Sneaky Pipe" when I do my headstuds. Discount Power Parts This will eliminate HOT gasses from runnin' close to your overflow resivoir. Just keep an eye on your levels and add the correct coolant for your year PSD and mix it with Distilled H2O ... 50/50 Good Luck. PS: the overflow tank is pressurised when at operating temp, check the clamp connection of your hose to bottle/resivoir for a tight seal. Hope this helps |

thanks. I will make sure it's tight. I had noticed some dried coolant around the cap about 3 weeks ago and cleaned it off. when I saw the coolant around the cap I didn't notice any near the hose. keep in mind I hadn't ever checked my degas bottle until that day and I had uninstalled my edge before I saw the dried coolant. so I cleaned it off and got on it pretty good a few times after and kept checking and never saw any white residue. while installing my stereo equipment is when I noticed the residue around the house area. I would have asked marc but he hasn't been on aim for a few days. miss that guy. lol thx guys.
