Injector Replacement Questions

Okay, as some of you saw, my truck developed a miss I believe to be a failed injector. I am taking the truck in to the dealer tomorrow morning to have it scanned to see which injector(s) have failed.

As money is an issue right now, I am most likely only going to replace the failed injectors for right now. While trying to save up for stage 1s next year. But while I'm in there this time, I am wanting to do a crossover or a Regulated Return. Which would be the better option? And what brand to go to?

The SCT will scan and tell me what injector is failed or failing??? How?

And Dave, if I go with an AirDog II, I do not need a RR kit?

If you get a Airdog II you dont need a regulated return because it has a internal regulator. Im running a Airdog II DF-165 with 190s and it does great!

Hey Erik, I m having what I feel is the same issue and was wondering if your symptom matches mine. For the first few miles or until the truck warms up it runs fine then once hot it feels like its missing and the hotter it gets the stronger the miss/skip? I tried scanning the truck with my programer, but it will not throw any codes.

No, yours sounds like a slightly different issue with the injection system. Mine misses and bucks from start up until you cut it off, regardless of engine temp. I think the FICM has to do with a warm engine miss. Maybe the HPOP too.

I vote for the AirDog II.

On a side note, can someone please inform me on what exactly a miss sounds/feels like? When mine gets below a quarter tank it idles real funny.

Okay, tried pulling DTCs with my SCT and nothing came up, pulled with my OUtlook, P012F (EOT ECT difference) and P0275 (#5 Misfire) And about a week ago, pulled a code of P0341 (CPS) I am still going to take it into the dealer this time, but will very soon be getting AE as I didn;t realize how affordable it was. Which cylinder is 5?
