ford/international affiliation

correct me if i'm wrong but the affiliation they have is international makes the powerstroke motor. i should know this stuff huh? lol. now this kinda threw me off, my friend has a 92 psd with a john deere decorative plate on the front of his truck. he only owns komatsu and kubota excavating equipment. is there any relation there? ford, intl, deere? or is that just some kinda sick joke? lol.

International does make the powerstroke and the 6.9 and 7.3 IDI engines. Technically It's called Navistar. No affiliation with Deere, though. I have seen many Fords with Cat tags also, but they have International, Navistars under the hood.
