100K warranty information

I had a starter go bad the other day, and I figured it was under the manufacturers 100k drivetrain warranty. Come to find out it wasnt. Can anyone confirm this being true or if the dealership was screwing me.

from what I know the starter isnt part of the motor, so no it isnt covered

Your not the first one that I have heard this from barry. From my understanding it is not part of the drivetrain. The drivetrain is the engine. So anything other then the engine is not covered under that 100,000 mile warranty. I know we could sit here and debate this all day. But that would go no where. I had the same arguement with a dealership. So has a buddy of mine. Sorry for your luck man but it sounds like your truck is just giving you problems.

100k is on powerstroke only , not the rest of the truck

correct, ford offers the extended warranty for other things like the starter.
