HPOP and cover....

Ok.... I have been trying to find a post all day about replacing the HPOP, HPOP cover, turbo return tube. There was something about the cover has been redesigned..

Im going to have to replace my HPOP soon and was wondering?

Never heard of a updated cover on the 03's or I would have done that during my build.

Where the 2 arrows are you better make sure you put some gasket sealant or something, cause it will leak. The hpop gasket doesnt cover this area so make sure you do it or you'll be tearing it apart again.

it said that the ICP comes with it but it so it made sense to get it! now that I think of it maybe it had somthing to do with the old turbo tube wearing on it.

You can also update your icp while your in there anyways to the pigtail style.

hey sorry for the hijack i have a 06 that is in need of the stc fitting replacement i was told that the transmition has to be removed to be able to remove hpop cover can anyone tell me if this is true as im thinking of replacing the fitting myself. thank u

No it is not true. The STC fitting can be seen in the pic above just to the left of the right side arrow. It has to bolts in it. Once the HPOP cover is off you have access. Of course you need to remove a bunch of stuff from the top of the engine to gain access to the HPOP cover but it's easier than removing the trans.
