I stopped by the stealership yesterday and pulled my truck up beside a brand new 2008 F350. I measured the tailgate and the mounting brackets and took a look at the latches ect. to make sure that it would mount right up. THen I went into the parts dept. to ask them about ordering one. They told me that they have had a ton of similar requests about this. They said that the 2008 tailgate will fit all 99 and up Super Duty trucks. Here is the shocker though. That tailgate cost in excess of $1700.00 before painting it. That kind of change was not worth me getting that cool step. I did test out the step and grab rail was looking at the tailgate. It is solid. I was impressed. Just not $1700.00 impressed. If it had only been a $400.00 part then I would have already ordered one. THey are cool but spendy.

Wow, what a rip off stealership. Ck another dealer and see if you can't get it cheaper with step and all. One guy said he got one for $800.00 at a dealer in AL.
