pressure washing
my 04 6.0 is in need of a good bath "motor" and want to give her a good presure washing .. what do i need to cover of avoid hitting during the cleaning

I've heard most guys on here just open the hood and let 'er rip. I don't know what would need to be covered up. Hopefully somebody else will join in the discussion to get a different view point.

with all the electronics was'nt sure if there was a area more sensitive to water or not

you are most likely gonna be ok as long as you dont put the sprayer 3 inches from anything. i wouldnt spray directly on any fuse boxes, or anything like that.

If you have a cold air intake cover that but you should be good to go

never any problems here, I've washed the dust off my engine a few times

I have never had any problems with my 7.3L and I do this everytime I wash my truck.
Just don't do it when the engine is hot. |

your engine should be fine, but to help out with the dirt and grime, get some degreaser in a purple bottle from Castrol, when i used to detail cars for a dealer that stuff worked like a champ...
