max rpm when down shifting?

Hey guys, while towing this weekend in my 06 f-250 with the 6.0 i was going down hill and braking while in tow-haul mode and the truck down shifted and the rpms jumped up to 3500, do i have to worry about over reving the engine when in tow-haul and the transmission down shifting? what is the redline of the 6.0? thanks

First of all welcome to the site! As far as your RPM's running 3500 when downshifting a hill with your tow haul, don't get too worried about it. As far as the "red line" goes I'm not sure but I've had mine well in excess of 4000 and nothing broken so far. But that's on acceleration. I'm sure someone else will chime in on this, but like I said, I wouldn't be concerned with it.
