Mileage for a 6.0l?

What kind of mileage do some of you guys get? I'm thinking of purchasing an F-350 4x4 crew short bed with 88,000 miles, not a dually, with 3.73 gears,and a automatic. Oh, it is a diesel of course.

15-16 in the city, and 12-13 towing a 32' 5th wheel. Also running a SCT programmer.

I average about 15.5 in total calculated mileage. Hope that helps. My averages should be going up since the only time it gets used now is for highway runs longer than an hour.

Thats not bad considering my ram 1500 averages about 13 in the city and 17 on the highway with a 5.2l v8.Whats the highway average, anybody?

If I install a performance tune on the SCT. Starts out around 15-16, After 50 miles of steady interstate driving will finally climb up to about 20 and stay there as long as we are crusing at a steady speed. Steve

Really? I might NEED to buy one. Although, most say to not get tunes for the mpg's!

I ran 24 hrs straight thru from DC to Fort Worth...'06 F250, CC, 3.73, 2" level kit, 34" tires. I ran ID's Extreme Race tune.

We held it at 1950 rpm's and I NEVER saw 20. It got 16 and that's all.

In town with 1800 lbs in the bed all the time I avg. 13.

I used to get 14.2 combined with my 2004 6.0 F250, now I am getting 11.4 with my 2010 6.4 F250. I miss my 6.0 for that reason only.

I get about 18.5 at 70 mph with 3.73's towing a 26' travel trailer I get about 11.5 to 12.5 around town I average 14 mpg.

See sig for truck details. I bought it with 91,000 miles and now it's got 107,500. Over those 16,000 or so miles I've averaged ~17 mpg hand calculated. The computer typically reads 17.7 mpg. I run 20 miles to and from work each day, cruising at about 62 mph on flat to gently rolling terrain. I rarely do any "city" driving.
