What is my truck worth?

Well I love this truck but I have 2 others and I don't want to put the time and money into repairing this one......so it looks like I am going to sell as is. I would like to get opinions on what people think it is worth.


2004 F250 Lariat CC SB FX4 with 170k miles. The body and the bed have some dents and scratches, the interior is in decent shape. Overall I would call the condition of the truck "good". Its fairly loaded...leather, power pedals, powers seats, 6 disc, etc etc etc. It has a 2 inch Superlift and a Banks exhaust. I recently replaced ball joints, hubs and brake pads up front as well as put on a reman turbo. Motor has never been modded or chipped.

The bad news......last month I am pretty sure it popped a head gasket so I parked it. I figure it's either pay a good sized repair bill or tear into it myself. I am not really interested in doing either. What do you think a fair asking price is for the truck as it sits?

With high mileage and possibly blown HG probably 16-19k somewhere along those lines, thats as much as I paid being that a HG job is like 2500-3500 dollars.

Sorry to derail, but mine has studs, EGR delete, exhaust, SCT, blah blah blah. It's a Lariat with leather and FX4 package. Leveling kit, 18" Badlands and 33x13's.

The problem is your not positive its just the head gaskets. Sometimes when you tear into an breakdown you find a snowball has turned into an avalanche.

Not sure about your location but here in central Florida, your truck in working order would fetch around 17-19K, so maybe could get 12-13K. I just think 170K miles is alot.

Why do you think HG's? I thought mine popped too, but it nded up being an EGR cooler. Delete is in and it's all good now.

Pretty sure its HG. I want to be honest when I sell it so I am going to assume the worst. Its will start and run but its down on power and blowing steam out the exhaust. I want a new 2011 anyway so this one would have to be sold first...wife's orders. From what I am hearing from you guys so far I shouldn't have any trouble getting $9500 for it then?

Mine is in getting head gaskets 3100 for the new ones.
