Got her back finally.
Was able to pick my truck up today. Had the EGR delete done to it. Seems to run pretty good. Got on it a little on the on ramp and it puffed a TINY amount of smoke. Residual I'm guessing. It was blue/black.
The only thing that worries me is that I told them to check out the oil cooler, and on the "Work Completed" sheet, it says nothing about it. I hope that doesn't come back to me... I'm glad to finally have the thing back. Now it needs an alternator... FML. It never ends with this damn thing. And tires. YAY! |

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the job cost you? Dealer or other shop? Also, did you replace the up-pipe?

It was just shy of $1400. I also had them run a bunch of tests on the truck as well to make sure the head gaskets were good along with other things. I actually had a Chevy/Dodge dealership do the work haha. They have a really good diesel tech though. I am not positive on everything they replaced. I don't really know where the up-pipe is haha. I am so new to this truck...

Thanks. My understanding is they can block off the up-pipe, where it connects to the egr cooler to the exhaust, or replace the "T" section with a straight pipe.
