EGR Disconnect

I am wondering if any knows if the EGR stays closed when you disconnect it, I have and 05 6.0L, i was thinking about buying a used one from the junkyard and plugging it in to eliminate DTC's, but was wondering if the unplugged one stay's closed.

as long as you unplug it with the keys off yes it will stay closed , but boost will push it open some .

The boost pressure will push it open some. I just welded mine shut to make sure it would not push open.

You could put a small weld on the valve to keep it closed,
