wot boost #'s

what should i be seeing for boost at wot after an egr delete? i'm getting 23 on the outlook and the truck doesnt seem to be laggy, but i think i can hear an exhaust leak (hard to tell though).

truck is not tuned and i have gotten the egr cel (po4 something) but have cleared it.

is 23 a normal boost level for a stock truck or should i be looking for an exhaust leak/ need a tune?

My stock truck with EGR delete will hit 30 unloaded.

is that with the latest flash? the reason i ask is there is some recent info that says the newest one doesn't play nice with egr deletes and im wondering if that could be a possibility.

VGT relearn is just the first 10-ish running minutes...

Mine only hits 25-26 WOT after delete and tune by Eric, I feel like I smell fuel/exhaust in the cab when it is on outside air at a stoplight and when i crank it up in the morning but i am not sure..... I had the vxcf9 strategy as a stock tone and now when i check strategy it says vxcf7 so i don't think it is the strategy.

hmmm, maybe i'm worrying about nothing then. i mean its running great and doesn't seem to have any lag or power issues.

its so hard to tell if there is an exhaust leak on these things.

Don't forget that outside temps, maf/map readings, iat readings, skinny pedal position, TC lockup, engine load, and fuel quality can all influence how much boost you make. One other thing, did you clean out the intake manifold during the delete to remove all the oil and soot?

I wish i had a better way of seeing a leak than looking for soot, and i cant here anything over the engine at idle.
And no, I did not do anything to the manifold, the dealer did all the work on mine.... but it hit 30+ before the delete and all the other work I had done.

stock mine was about 24-28...race tuned was about 28...and extreme "experimental" tune pegged out a 35lb gauge before I let off....
