Buying 06 6.0 what to look for

Hi, new guy here. I am looking to buy my first PSD soon. I am looking at a 06 6.0, and want to know what I need to look for under the hood. Is there any red flags I should now about? Any help will be great.

Look for white residue around the degas bottle. Most importantly get an OASIS report.

There is nothing wrong with a properly maintained 6.0

I have an '05 King Ranch with the 6.0 and I absolutely love it. Granted, I've done head studs along with the normal mods (intake/exhaust/SCT Programmer) and I couldn't be happier. Go to a dealership and get an Oasis report to see what work has been done to truck. This may tell you what historical problems your truck may have had. Yes, there's a few things that may go bad... oil cooler, EGR, injectors, and most of all, Head Gaskets, but there's fixes for all this such as studding it and doing an EGR delete. The problem is that it costs money to do this so be prepared. Once these fixes are complete, you're looking at a truck that will potentially give you 300,000+ miles without blinking and has tremendous power. My $.02.
