Difference between 04-05 engine and chassis

is there and differenced between engines and what are the diff in chassis thanks

There were 4 engine redesigns from 03-07 still 6.0's obviously but just redesigning failed parts such as adding a STC fitting, changing the heads on the 06-07 models from an 18mm dowel to a 20mm dowel which was suppsed to make them stronger to prevent blowing headgaskets (which didnt work), and a few other things.

As far as chassis Im not sure other than that the 05-07 are coil sprung front ends instead of leaf springs which provide for better ride quality and turning.

Other than that just minor interior changes.

i've seen guys take an 03- early 04 engine and make it a late 04-05 engine

2005 is when they switched to coil spring front suspension and added larger brakes all the way around. They also added the option for the integrated trailer brake controller and upfitter switches.
