NEED ADVISE ON 6.0LTR

FAIRLY NEW TO THE 6LTR BUT A FELLOW HAS A 2006 E450 6LTR BLOWING WHITE SMOKE. BROUGHT IT BY AND FOUND BELT BROKEN. HE HAD DROVE 25KM BEFROE SHUTING IT OFF. COOLANT WAS LOW AND LOOKS LIKE COOLANT BY HTE NUMBER THREE CYL LEAKING? WOULD IT BE A HEAD GASKET OR EGR COOLER. HOW COULD WE TEST

hey well with it blowing white smoke sounds like a headgasket, r but i guess an egr cooler could be suspect to. best way to test is get a coolant system pressurizer. With this you will be able to pressurize the cooling system without the engine running. Let it sit and bleed down you may be able to see where it is leaking. If you want you can try to see if the engine will crank ussually it will not crank and stop the engine if a cylinder is full with coolant this is up to you only
