EGR Delete benefits
what are the benefits of the EGR delete? What does deleting the EGR help you avoid down the road?
Does it help with the injectors? Fuel economy? oil cooler? Or is this item itself just prone to failure? Thanks for your input. |

EGR system failure is probably one of the most common issues on the 6.0. A delete kit as a few major benefits
1. You will be removing the EGR cooler which means your removing a heating element for the coolant. Which allows the coolant to run cooler and faster threw the motor. 2. Deleting a clogged cooler greatly reduces your chances of over pressurizing the coolant system and blowing your head gaskets 3. Depending on the year of truck you will notice faster turbo spool due to the fact that the factory up-pipe has air flow scoops to divert some of the flow into the intake. 4. With out the factory egr cooler and factory up-pipe you will not be forcing hot exhaust gases back into the motor. Basically without the factory egr system the motor, exhaust gases, and coolant are flowing correctly and faster just the way a motor should run. Brian George Sinister MFG Company |

what are the benefits of the EGR delete? What does deleting the EGR help you avoid down the road? Saves your head gaskets. The EGR cooler is the biggest culprit behind HG's.
Does it help with the injectors? Fuel economy? oil cooler? None of these. The oil cooler is a separate piece BUT it should be replaced NO MATTER WHAT when you do the EGR cooler. Or is this item itself just prone to failure? Its prone to failure but it could be caused by a clogged oil cooler also. |
