My advice is this!!
(1) The first thing i would do is install coolent filter with the 6.0 this is a must to remove the casting sand that caused your problem to start with.
(2) A good set of gauges i went with the Edge Insight because i'm not into tuners and programmers. You need to know the EOT-ECT a max of 15 degs difference highway speed 55-60 more than that you are in trouble, i am also running EGT and Trans Temp. My EOT-ECT temps run about 4-6 degs difference pulling a 14,000 lb 5er.
(3) Fuel pressure gauge because low fuel pressure will kill injectors. Mine was 50 lbs at idle and 44 WOT, under 45 and over 70 trouble, installed a new Reg Kit Idel 64 and WOT 62 a big difference.
(4) Not a must but i installed the Amsoil by-pass filter and running Syn. oil just because the injectors like clean oil use only Ford filters and don't go over 5000 miles on a oil change, I'm running 4500 because most of the time i'm hooked to the 5er.
