a/c compressor making noise

I heard a rattling noise coming from the pullies so i looked and a little disc type looking thing on the face of the ac compressor was rattling around. It is right on the front of the pully, looks like maybe part of the clutch or something, does anyone know what im talking about or had this problem before? I will try to get a pic up

found out I need to replace the a/c clutch, anyone have a write up on this?
