Transmission Filters are trash....

Does anyone else notice that the external transmission filter is trash? I would rather put a roll of toilet paper in the housing.... I will post a pic of the filter that compressed down and started to shred apart after 3k miles. Anyone know another replacement filter to go in its place? And yes I use only Motorcraft filters but why? This one is obviously not worth .89 cents in my eyes.

It is a bypass filter. It sounds like you have a significant problem if you are trashing the filter.
