Looking for the cheapest place to buy a cat and muffler delete for the 6.0

I got the muffler delete pipe from puredieselpower.com ($65 = shipping) and the cat delete pipe off e bay ($54.50 shipped). I didn't see any on there at the moment - the seller was "ourdealsrock". The muffler pipe took a little extra work because it was a bit short, but the cat pipe slipped right on. It took about an hour and a half to install them both. Hope this helps.

Yah, that's about the cheapest place i found by Google. How does it sound straight piped, any difference in power? Im more looking for faster turbo spool and some cooler EGT's w/o spending the money on a full exhaust.

Sounds sweet - the turbo whistles like crazy and the exhaust note is not too loud until you stand on it. I don't really notice the exhaust sound in the cab with the windows up but I can hear the turbo though. Haven't noticed much on EGT but seems like the turbo spools quicker.

Are just going to do this to the stock exhaust? I thought about doing this myself, wasnt sure what the sound was going to be like. I have read some say it sounds like a late 80s Chevy with glass pack!

I wanted to keep the stock exhaust because my motor is stock. I didn't think the gains from a $400 system would be that great on the stock motor. For less than $140 you can get a little better performance and a sweet sounding truck. I just calculated my mileage on the last two tanks and i got a .5 mpg increase - coincidence? I don't know.

Ghuds was your muffler welded on to the tail pipe? I am wanting to do this but my muffler is welded on to the tail pipe and it looks like if i cut it off flush with the muffler it would be to short. What did you have to do to make your muffler delete pipe work.

Go to a muffler shop, they can get a piece of straight pipe and weld it in for you pretty cheap. I did that and it sounds good, debating on the cat delete or just getting a full exhaust. I think I paid $65 for a pipe and he cut the exhaust out and welded it in.
