6.4 Transmission work in our trucks?

I haven't seen much info on this but my 550s trans slips with the sct and I heard you could put one from a 08-10 which holds a little more power. Has anyone done this yet?

why not just rebuild and make it stronger? the torquesgift is more then capable of standing up to the power even tuned. so if yours is slipping, just have a company like BTS build yours...

The 08-10 is a torqshift just like the 6.0s its just made stronger the 08-10 trucks are holding 550hp so I should be able to run my 430 pretty reliable. It just alot cheaper to buy a used 08 trans for like 1500 instead of 4 or 5 grand on a bts or suncoast.

But for $1,500 you're still just running a stock transmission. When for near that same money you can have a suncoast extreme rebuild kit installed which will hold more power than an 08-10 stock transmission.

I've heard they don't give you a whole lot in that kit and I've never heard of many if any aftermarket trannies lasting like stock ones. Everybody sells it before they run many miles on it.
