oil filter?
im going to be running amsoil in my truck but before i change the oil i was wondering what oil filter i should go with the amsoil one or the motorcraft

I've always ran Motorcraft filters, so I can't compare the two. Name doesn't always = better though. I got in their website and just looked at a pic. Look identical to the Motorcraft and says it replaces Donaldson and Wix. Personally, I would stay with Motorcraft.

you need to be concerned with the recommended change interval. Also which aamsoil you are using and when you expect to replace the filter. The aamsoil states you can go 25k or one year. Whatever happens first. I would recommend analysis of the oil, at least at first. Aamsoil has the filter they recommend for that length of time?

i use Amsoil 5w-40 and change my oil every 10k miles and filter every 5k miles !!!

You won't see any performance hp/tq/mpg from ANY oil filter but the motorcraft is personally the way to go IMO.
