'03 turbo swap on an '05

Another member on here and i are going to trade turbos, his 03 for my 05. What do we need to do? just take off the turbo and pedistals and send them to each other, right? Is there anythingn else either one of us need to do? and should they both mount right back in the others truck and work no problems?

yea as long as you get his 03 pedistal it should bolt right up, and vice versa for him.

If either of you haven't done so, while the turbo's are off, you might as well get the updated turbo drain tube (6C3Z-9T515-A), and new turbo mounting bolts, that rear bolt on the 03 will most likely get mucked up when removing.

It's an updated tube with is a larger I.D. which will help keep the turbo bearing better lubricated as well as cooler because of better return oil flow. I believe that there is an update for the supply line, but I don't have any information on that.
