Egt probe question

Okay I'm getting ready to drill and tap my hole in the drivers manifold, my question is when I tap the hole how far or how
many turns should I tap it? Also what's the best way to drill it?

Tap the entire hole, if that makes sense. I used bearing grease on the tip of the bit and on the tap when I did it, 32,000 miles ago

Glad it worked out ok For ya

Not sure of the temps, but you don't want to see your EOT and ECT delta spred more than 15* at operating temp, if so, you're looking at down happy time under the hood replacing/rebuilding the oil cooler, and /or the EGR cooler. What are you using to monitor those temps, Livewire?

The EGT's, don't hold it at more than 1300* for any period of time, only for short bursts (15-20 seconds). Trans, I haven't ever seen mine go over 195*, but I think that you can go to 210* without hurting it (don't quote me on that one though)
