2004 early build or late?

I know I have seen it some place ,but how can I tell if my truck is early or late ? (trying to get the oil cooler rebuild kit,some of the kits say will not work for early 04's)I know it's according to the vin code but not exactly sure which letters or numbers indicate what.Also I have never done the oasis report,where is the best place to get it ? Thanks anyhelp would be appreciated.

check the build date on the drivers door

Check your passenger side valve cover. Do you see a ICP sensor near the front of the motor? On the cover. Early builds the ICP was on rear of motor.

Here is a picture of where the ICP is on my 04. See the brown sensor on lower part of picture? Below the alternator.

ok will do,it does have the sensor in the valve cover
