Hi, I hate the turbo whistle.... am I alone?

So, as said above, I down right HATE the loud turbo whistle.

I absolutly LOVE the 6.0 growl when I get on it.

Anybody got a fix to kill the idle/low throttle turbo whistle but retain the heavy/full throttle growl?

Please, this is driving me NUTS and I don't want to hunt and peck for mufflers.

i understand the 03's turbo have a higher pitch to them.

Wanna swap turbos? You can barely hear the turbo on my 06 unless your getting it.

Seeing how your truck is a 03, I'm going to take a leap and say that you have a 03 turbo on it. As mentioned above, the 03 turbos have a lot more whistle to them than any other year of 6.0 turbo. Swapping the turbo to a 04-07 model isn't too hard, but you'll need to swap the turbo pedistal as well. And you'll keep the growl. Lucky for you, most owners want a 03 turbo in a bad way.......for the whistle that's driving you nuts. I'd bet you could find someone locally to swap with.
