My cousin and I were wondering the same thing. Can the Torque Shift be mated to a 7.3????

I asked about this a year or 2 ago and nobody at the time had an adapter plate that i could find. It would be one sweet combo though. Not sure how you would work the pcm from a 6.0 to a 7.3.

Only one I have heard of is Double Overtime with a 7.3 in a 05, but that truck is not quite stock.

Wonder if you could run a seperate PCM for the Torque shift, seems like I saw somewhere that a guy could get a PCM for an Allison to go behind a Cummins. I saw an engine swap ( I think in Diesel World mag.) where they swapped a cummins into an '06 or '07 wrecker with a Torque Shift, so they had to do something for that tranny, anyone else see that article???

Looks like Fordcummins has a transmission controller for the Torque Shift that they use when they swap a Cummins, $850.

Talked to a guy that does alot of ford swaps and said you would have to take the 7.3 motor and trans and get a new wire harness/computer.
now thats not %100 saying you cant put the 7.3 to the 6.0 tranny just the info i got guess it wouldnt really be wortth it... |

It would be easier to learn and love the 6.0..... OR use a 5spd 7.3....
